Kento Yamawaki - La Costa Canyon HS, won the SJGA Championships with a score
of 74-73 - 147 in tough conditions. Kento has committed to play for the
University of California - Berkeley Bears next year. Quentin Hill - Dana
Hills HS was runner-up and Ryan Mendez - Torrey Pines HS was third. |
| Kailee Welch - (L) - Mater Dei HS in Orange County won the 2018 Girl's Title shooting 81-80 - 161. Kailee's teammate Khameryn Uta shot 82-81 - 163 to place second. The girls played 36 holes through wind, rain and finally sunny weather. |

La Costa Canyon HS won back the Team Championship after finishing second last year to Gonzaga Prep of Spokane, WA. The Mustangs placed Kento Yamawaki
and Avery Schmidt on the 2019 All-Scholastic Team. |
